Dirtbound track editor

The editor is a home-menu tile. You sculpt terrain, lay road, test the lap, and publish a closed circuit.

What you can build

Terrain tools raise, dig, smooth, and flatten. Roads sit on terrain or on piers. You can import an SVG path and set its size, rotation, smoothing, start point, and whether it closes and follows the ground. The editor screenshot shows a top view with a length, a point count, a minimum radius, and the Free, Snap, and Grid modes.

After publish, anyone can drive the track and star it. Update replaces the live version, keeps the stars, and resets the leaderboard. Unpublish removes it from the public list and drops the stars. Tabs in the browser are Official, Mine, and Community, with search. Experimental rooms only run circuits, so a published community track is the kind of course those rooms can pick. Daily stages are generated, not picked from this list. See multiplayer and the daily challenge.

Questions

Can I publish an open road?

No. The public interface says only a closed circuit can be published. An open line stays local and is not timed.

Which community tracks are marked official?

The public list names three: Tarte à rivière, Olufsen, and Chantier publique.

Sources

Last checked 2026-11-03. I compared the public materials linked below. Official pages, source files, screenshots and the developer’s itch.io listing count as one publisher; a second independent publisher is named separately where available.
